Fabio Candeli, CFA, is Senior Manager of the Private Equity team and member of the Private Equity Investment Committee.

He is Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Banca Profilo S.p.A. and board member of Arepo BP S.p.A., Banque Profil de Gestion S.A., Profilo RE S.r.l. and Sator Investments S. à r.l..

Formerly, from September 2005 to June 2007, he was Head of the Commercial Banking Division of Capitalia, responsible for managing the commercial banks of the Group (i.e., Banca di Roma, Banco di Sicilia, Bipop-Carire) and its foreign subsidiaries, with direct responsibility for the Retail, Mid Corporate, Customer Relationship Management, Direct Channels and Planning & Control divisions.

Prior to that, from April 2003 to August 2005, he was responsible for the Capitalia Group’s Planning and Control Department, with responsibility for the Capitalia Group’s strategic planning, budget process and financial control, responsible for the 2005-2007 Business Plan, as well as for the launch of a new VBM-based commercial monitoring system and for the introduction of the new commercial banks and group budget process.
He served as a member of the Capitalia’s Management Committee and of the Boards of Directors of Banca di Roma, Banco di Sicilia, Bipop-Carire, Capitalia Solutions and Capitalia Informatica.

Before joining Capitalia, Fabio Candeli worked seven years in London, first at BZW as an Equity Financial Analyst, and later at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he became Vice President in charge of Equity Research of Italian and French banks and European asset managers.

He received a BA cum laude in Business Administration from the University of Turin.
